“Hey, are you still doing that security thing?” Family and friends often inquire about our business. They want to know how we are doing. Yet, they either can’t remember what our business is, or they never really knew. They will refer to it as many different things. House sitting.  Home security. Property management. When in reality it’s called “Home Watch.”

It’s no one’s fault. It’s a relatively new industry that only fairly recently, is starting to organize and receive recognition. Hundreds of home watch companies around the country are now organized around the National Home Watch Association. Best practices have been established. Educational curriculums have been developed. A training program called, The Home Watch Boot Camp, has proven very successful.

it’s a lot of work. But it is all necessary to establish credibility and national recognition. So remember, when you need someone to keep an eye on your home, search for a licensed Home Watch company.
